Being a barista at La Cabra is about more than just making coffee. It’s about creating a memorable experience for every guest. From brewing to service, you’ll play a key role in delivering thoughtful, high-quality hospitality in a dynamic café setting. We’re looking for team members who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about sharing their knowledge of coffee and baked goods.
Coffee & Bakery Expertise
Prepare high-quality beverages (espresso, hand brews, teas, etc.) with precision and consistency.
Develop a deep understanding of our seasonal coffee offerings and effectively communicate their nuances to guests.
Set up and maintain the pastry display, ensuring everything looks as inviting as it tastes.
Handle prep tasks like making syrups, weighing coffee, and monitoring roast dates.
Manage high-volume service periods while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Hospitality & Guest Service
Offer a warm and welcoming experience to every guest.
Guide customers through our menu, catering to both coffee enthusiasts and newcomers.
Engage in meaningful, focused conversations while ensuring smooth service.
Personalize guest interactions by remembering preferences and offering recommendations.
Maintenance & Cleanliness
Maintain a spotless and well-organized café, including the bar and guest areas.
Clean and care for all espresso and brewing equipment to ensure peak performance.
Follow all NYC Department of Health guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
