About The Role

La Cabra was founded in Aarhus, Denmark in 2011.

What began as a small roastery has grown into an international coffee company with cafés, bakeries, and roasting operations across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia.

Coffee remains the center of our work. Our program is built on seasonality, transparency, and long term relationships with producers.

We are seeking an experienced Roastery Manager to join our team and take charge of our production facility in Nordhavn. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in the technical precision required to deliver a world class product.

This is a hands on leadership role where you’ll manage the heartbeat of our Danish roastery, drive operational excellence, and ensure our roastery reflects the quality and spirit of La Cabra. Key Responsibilities

Production, Financial & Reporting

  • Primary responsibility for managing the overall operation of the roastery, including finances, workflow, and personnel.

  • Responsible for recruitment and hiring of production and packaging staff to ensure a high-quality team that aligns with company culture.

  • Proficient in using Business Central, Cropster, and Shopify to manage procurement and inventory.

  • Planning and participation in production, including setting deadlines and production forecasting.

  • Systematic monitoring of production processes, quality assurance, and logistics setting KPIs and improving operations.

  • Ongoing reporting to the company's management on the health and efficiency of the roastery.

Leadership & Technical Development

  • Act as a key collaborator with managers across departments, specifically the Head of Coffee and Head of Supply Chain, on cost optimisation and product development.

  • Foster a positive and motivated culture by mentoring the production team and empowering them to maintain a healthy working environment.

  • Ensure consistent professionalism in production standards, hygiene, and machine maintenance across the facility.

  • Regularly update databases and spreadsheets related to coffees and other products to ensure seamless logistics.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a specialty roastery or other production environment.

  • Technical proficiency with ERP systems like Business Central. Experience with roasting software like Cropster is a benefit.

  • Knowledge of the roasting process and the ability to communicate technical coffee knowledge clearly.

  • Genuine passion for coffee and a deep commitment to the La Cabra brand and its position in the specialty market.
